The VELUX Sun tunnel is recommended for installation in hallways, bathrooms and other rooms without natural light and where loft conversion is not an option. It is not recommended for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and the like. In these rooms VELUX roof windows will always offer a better supplement to the existing daylight. The VELUX Sun tunnel is for all intents and purposes heat neutral, providing light without appreciable heat gain in summer and with negligible heat loss in winter.

Normally, redecoration is not necessary. This means that the occupants of the house can enjoy the new experience of natural light in their bathroom, hallway or other windowless rooms immediately after installation of the Sun tunnel.
